I am a full-time veterinary surgeon from Romania who decided to radically change her life and establish new roots in London, United Kingdom.
Why am I Here?
I started this blog on a whim of ambition at the beginning of 2020. With the latest advances in medical research, expectations of the veterinary healthcare system and practitioners have also increased. In other words, we need to find new ways to educate ourselves.
In my work, l`ve come across a lot of medical and animal welfare questions so l came up to a conclusion that this blog would be a great idea to support my community and help the pet parents understand the importance of animal well-being even more.
I graduated in 2019 from University or Agronomic Science and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest gaining a Master Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
Since I was a student, I volunteered in the field and clinics and assisted to different surgical cases, continuing to volunteer after graduation outside working hours.
Nothing was easy, because l had to work in other different domains from my very first year in order to support my studies and here I can include a lot of money spent on rents, books and transport.
My father died when l was 11 years old and my mother did everything for me ever since. She supported me as much as she could and now I am very grateful for the way she raised me and for the person l am today.
First flight ever.. and so the adventure began!
My love for animals began early, as I grew up with them ever since. With a medical background, there is no other career for me outside of veterinary work.
As one could attest to, it isn’t enough to love animals. You have to take those next steps to really make a difference!
